situations but the characters are made up. Some books that I read this summer are After Ever After,
by Jordan Sonnenblick, Reign Rain, by Ann m. Martin, and Shackleton Antarctic Odyssey by
Nick Bertozzi.
The book After Ever After by Jordan Sonnenblick was about a boy name Jeffery who is a cancer
survivor. He and his best friend Tad are dealing with school, girls, and there parents. His brother who
he would normally count on is in Africa taking drumming lessons. Throughout the book he learns that he can face anything that comes in his way. I liked this book because a lot of people people go through
the problems that Jeffery went through and it encourages kids to think positive.
The book Reign, Rain by Ann M. Martin is about a girl named Rose Howard who has Asperger's
Syndrome and loves words that are homonym. She has a dog named Rain,( her dog's name is a homonym) and a Dad that doesn't have the patience for her. I didn't really enjoy this book because in
the beginning it was slow and hard to understand throughout the book.
The book Shackleton Antarctic Odyssey by Nick Bertozzi is about a explorer named Ernest Shackleton
and his adventure to the Antartic. A lot goes on in this book, and I like reading it because it was just a
big journey throughout the book.
Reading this summer was very different. The reason why it was different is because there were different
topics that I never tried reading before. There was also different ways the books were written that I
had never read before. Last but not least I am exited to read more books this year.
I totally understand why you hate the slow books because I am that way too. I am also excited to read more books. Reading different books can be healthy and unhealthy. Great work on this. Now i know not to read the book Reign, thanks!!!!
